What can be found here are collections of snapshots of pleasant and unpleasant smells. We realise that a smell once judged unpleasant may, over time, be perceived differently; that smells are markers of identity and that many of our memories are attached to them. Our nose, never closed and always alert, informs us of everything and warns us. It goes ahead of us. And it is through it that we have the capacity to create images in the confines of our brain—images that, together with the smell, suddenly come to mind: they emerge. It is behind our eyelids that the whole work takes place in silence.
